The Dior flagship store at 30 Avenue Montaigne becomes 30 Montaigne

L’adresse iconique de Dior, le 30 Montaigne, inaugure une nouvelle ère pour la maison — avec le flagship articulé autour d’un concept inédit !

30 Montaigne: The New Era of Dior’s Historic Address

Since March 6, 2022, 30 Avenue Montaigne puts on the map an exclusive location – the kingdom of Christian Dior’s dreams is now opening up to new facilities… A sumptuous boutique, an exhibition space, restaurants and a private suite.

Architect Peter Marino was entrusted with the construction of this new diverse and enchanting place! In the private hotel specifically chosen by Christian Dior and arranged to his taste, multiple facilities, each more luxurious than the next, started to take place since 1946.

“It’s not just a flagship store, it’s a universe. In fact, a new name would have to be found for it, because such complex word does not exist in the world,” Pietro Beccari, CEO of Christian Dior Couture, said.

Indeed, while the mythical Dior Haute Couture workshops are returning to location after two years of being under construction… What does this new temple of Dior’s dreams reveal?

For the first time, for example, the high jewelry workshop joins the core of the Dior universe – offering customers the possibility of having precious stones added to custom designed pieces.

The Dior flagship store, which expands over nearly 10,000 square meters, has become the largest boutique of the brand and has added La Galerie de Dior, the largest permanent exhibition space dedicated to fashion, which is to be handled by a private institution!

There will be traveling exhibitions and, most importantly, the possibility of visiting preserved historic spaces, like the original office of founder Christian Dior…

Speaking of the historic location where the Dior revolution took place… The legendary salon where the first fashion shows happened now hosts dinners and special events!

Peter Marino made it a priority to surround these tasteful and luxurious alcoves with original works of art, including a hanging installation, resembling falling sheets of paper, by Paul Cocksedge at the store’s entrance rotunda, and a rose sculpture by Isa Genzken, which dominates the circular staircase in the center of the store.

And there’s more…

Dine, Snack or Sleep at 30 Avenue Montaigne!

30 Avenue Montaigne now houses an alcove dedicated to Dior beauty treatments, and two restaurants.

The first restaurant, Monsieur Dior and a Dior coffee-bakery shop, set in an atrium overflowing with imposing tropical trees and a flowerbed… A reference to the flowers which inspired Christian Dior so much, and to the rose garden in his childhood home in Granville, Normandy.

We have lunch there on houndstooth seats, alluding again toDior’s favorite motif.

Under the direction of the talented French Chef Jean Imbert, these two dining areas literally offer a taste of Dior elegance… But in a gastronomic version!
