The most beautiful women have all lent their likenesses to ad campaigns for this first perfume by the house on the rue Cambon. Catherine Deneuve, Estella Warren, Carole Bouquet, Nicole Kidman, Audrey Tautou… Today it’s the turn of this model, who’s often called “The Body” by the press, to take on the task of promoting this unique perfume. This nearly centennial fragrance continues to appear in the top quintet of iconic perfumes. It’s worth noting that its recipe has remained the same: a nectar with notes of lemon, bergamot, aldehyde, neroli, ylang-ylang, hasmine, rose, iris or vanilla, musk, and sandalwood. Gisele Bündchen, archetype of a top model but also of a healthy and athletic woman, lent her face to the lens of Baz Luhrmann. The director of Moulin Rouge and The Great Gatsby orchestrated the ad film for N°5. He was also responsible for the enrapturing N°5 film that featured Nicole Kidman in 2004.
To incarnate and represent its most precious olfactory creation, Chanel also called out to a woman of character; a woman who possesses natural and modern beauty, symbol of femininity and grace the world over. Gisele Bündchen lends her seduction and femininity to N°5, a new breath of sensuality for this perfume that dates back to 1921. According to WWD, shooting began Wednesday, May 21st in the Hamptons and is set to head to New York City proper afterwards. Set for a late 2014 release.
