Adidas x Gucci: Meeting of Iconic Codes.
The Adidas clover and the three legendary bands of Adidas streetwear – whose story is told here – meet the chic signatures of Gucci. Nested G Canvases, Horsebit, Web and GG Monogram… Alessandro Michele has orchestrated the meeting of two pop and iconic worlds in a collection destined to become one!
Introduced during the Exquisite Gucci Fall/Winter 2022 show, the Adidas x Gucci collection brings together pieces from Gucci’s retro, quirky and refined wardrobe and Adidas’ sports lines — in a kaleidoscope of styles and genres that works.
Gucci says: “The dynamic prints used reveal a synergy between patterns that magnify these two heritages, including the Adidas Clover and the GG monogram. Usually formal items, including leather-heeled shoes, suede loafers and silk slings also enter a hybrid territory by incorporating more casual codes”.
A true fusion of two of the most influential houses of the moment, the Adidas x Gucci collection is also staged by the eye of the most expressive photographer of her generation. Dutch photographer Carlijn Jacobs captures the funky and retro spirit of this multifaceted collection.
