The Takashi Murakami and Hublot NFT

The Takashi Murakami and Hublot NFT

Takashi Murakami and Hublot NFTs have been introduced at Watches & Wonders 2022, inspired by two watches Hublot Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami. The second launch of those NFTs, this time public, will take place next month.

Takashi Murakami and Hublot NFTs: Digital Time

Takashi Murakami and Hublot find themselves, among other things, in their avant-garde spirit. Thus, when in 2021, the Japanese artist and the Hublot Maison have united their universe around the iconic Hublot Classic Fusion- the two rare and inspired models have been successful. On one hand the Hublot Classic Fusion All Black watch and on the other hand the Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami Sapphire Rainbow- respectively 200 and 100 each, sold in just a few days.

This time, the collaboration between Takashi Murakami and Hublotgoes a little further and embraces the NFT revolution…

” Today, it would be unthinkable for me to produce my works without a computer. Continuing my artistic collaboration with Hublot by using new forms of artistic expression such as NFTs seems to be the natural way to develop our relationship. By looking forward.” explains Takashi Murakami.

In order to coincide with the international Watches & Wonders, Hublot and Takashi Murakami presented two digital works of NFTs, inspired by Hublot Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami watches. Concretely, the artist has imagined two animated GIF that celebrates its iconic flower humanized with a mischievous smile- tinted in the graphic design specific to each of the Hublot Classic Fusion All Black and the Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami Sapphire Rainbow watches.

” Our collaboration with Takashi Murakami has led us to digital art, a field of expression in which Hublot has become a pioneer on the watchmaking planet. From now on, NFTs will be an integral part of our ‘Hublot loves art’ artistic world.” Explains Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot.

Launched on the occasion of the Watches & Wonders 2022 international watch fair, these NFTs were aimed primarily at the owners of one of the two coveted watches.

Based on the All Black version, this first NFT was available in 216 copies. The second, which takes the pop hues of the much desired Sapphire Rainbow watch, was only available in 108 copies.

And there’s more… As soon as May 2022, a limited quantity of those same NFTs will be available this time for the general public! Enough to hold a token that will certainly open up to even more creative surprises.
