Icon-Icon Opinion :

The history of Château Climens goes back to 1574- and only after around 20 years of existing it has become one of the most popular producers of Sauternes wines. But it has got its position of the excellent wine during the Classement in 1855. For now it’s only Château d’Yquem that is places higher, taking the first place.

Domain : Château Climens

Year : 2011

Description : Pale lemon-gold in color, the 2011 Climens opens with stuck flint and earthy notions over a core of tropical fruit (pineapple and guava) plus wafts of fungi and fresh straw. The palate lends oodles of complex layers with plenty of botrytis-inspired complexity melding with the ripe tropical notes, finishing with great length.
