    A glass of 2015 Château d’Yquem says all about exquisiteness of french wine. Château d’Yquem is the only Premier Cru Supérieur (the term describing classification of wine from Bordeaux) of all the wines of Sauternes, since it was by Napoleon III in 1855. Its dedication to the nature- the temperamental climate ruling hillsides around- is what makes the excellence and exclusive character of this wine. Few palaces that give the spirit of wine are worth mentioning: the one of Louis XIV, Napoleon III or even Thomas Jefferson who wrote in 1787, after his visit to France, that Château d’Yquem is the best French white wine.

    Description : A Superior First Growth produced in the Sauternes appellation, Chateau d’Yquem is the most popular sweet wine in the world. The estate covers 113 hectares of vines, and the vineyard production area spreads out over about 100 hectares, which take advantage of the warm, dry top soils with gravel. The wine is aged in barrels for 20 months (with 15 rackings and a light fining). The Chateau d’Yquem 2015 comes from a blend of 75% Semillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc.
