Lanvin Logo: A Pop Revival For SS 2022

Bruno Sialelli draws from 1920s Lanvin for Spring/Summer 2022. On the dazzling Minaudières, the iconic Lanvin logo goes pop!

Lanvin Logo: The identity of the House

« With what we have just lived through, I think we will experience a revival of the Roaring Twenties, » decrypts the Artistic Director of the house, just minutes after the show. « It is interesting for Lanvin to revisit this period of history because it was a time of significant prosperity for the house. I predict that we will live our own 20 years, with our share of joys and opportunities, and above all, a huge creative boom. » Bruno Sialelli, the Artistic Director of Lanvin decided to tether the Summer/Spring 2022 collection to the fertile dialogue between the present and the past.

Anong the silhouettes shown, we could thus notice the return of the Lanvin Minaudière, stamped with the Lanvin logo… This time, however, the logo imagined by Paul Iribe in 1923 goes for pop and sequins!

A real ode to the festive and Art Déco spirit of Lanvin, the collection concealed strong and glamorous garments — draped airy tulle dresses, sequins, drapes, and above all, glamour injected dresses, a reference to the forever mobile work of the late Alber Elbaz.

The house specifies once more: « Ornemental sequins sparkle, borrowed from a 1934 dress baptized “Concerto” and applied under the form of panels on chiffon dresses. These references to history are also worn with thoughtlessness, with Marguerite of Lanvin becoming a Pop Marguerite print, sport-detail finished suits, and the Style Dress shortened to a playful baby doll, a fresh proportion…»

It holds true that the collection of Lanvin of Summer/Spring 2022, where the Minaudière marked with the Lanvin logo figures as the key accessory, distills the joy of life and the bombast of the epoch!
