The flagship color of the world’s most chic house; Hermès’ Orange dresse peices cut in exquisite leather for next season. Pieces that reference the house’s equestrian heritage.
Hermès Orange: Summertime Sophisticion To Come
Heritage and crastmanship are the beating heart of Hermès. So, to compose the Spring Summer 2002 Hermès collection, the artistic director of the house, Nadège Canhee-Cybulski, drew from Hermès’ codes the aesthetic line of the season to come. Impeccable leather and Hermès Orange are the main thread of a collection that aims to revive the positive and solar allure of the Hermès woman, after months of worldwide pandemic.
“For me, it’s really all about clothes that allow you to move freely. I think it isn’t about going towards something that is too relaxed, rather about making an effort and still beng able to move easily in in your clothes.” eplains Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski.
The result is masterful. The ultra refined pieces paraded at the heart of the Bourget airports, introducing an exceptional mastery of leather the way only Hermès can demonstrate.
Collarless coats, mini skirts and tops presented themselves composed from a complex paving or deconstructed leather rectangles. Leathers that were later on embroidered on a transparent gauze backdrop. Light and airy, these pieces also donned the emblematic Hermès Orange for all to see. It truly dominated the palette of Spring Summer 2022.
57 silhouettes that, again, were a kind homage to the equestrian heritage of Hermès. Indeed, one could even notice it in the eyelets that hinted at the brand’s background; the saddler-become-purveyor of extreme refinement.
