Chaumet Diamonds. The illustrious jeweller of Place Vendôme writes a new page in its Bee My Love collection. The diamonds’ Taille Impératrice are a direct homage to Impératrice Joséphine.
Chaumet’s Impératrice, Diamonds and Nature
The new pieces of the Bee My Love collection a symbolic in many ways. First, there is the very inspiration of the Bee My Love collection; the perfect geometry of beehives inspired the lines and shapes of Chaumet’s diamonds.
It has to be said that Nature itself has long since inspired the Chaumet house. Chaumet’s know-how transfigure with mid boggling dexterity the wonder of Nature. Slender stems, Voluminous lilies, light leaves, wild plants, hives; Nature is celebrated around the jeweller’s virtuosity, proven through its diamonds.
The Bee My Love collection’s new pieces present the most evocative Taille Impératrice. An undoubted reference to Joséphine, first empress of the French and first notable client of Chaumet. As soon as 1796, Chaumet makes Joséphine de Beauharnais’ ornaments, including that of her wedding to Napoléon. She is, to former Chaumet artistic director, Lionel Giraud, “a symbolic godmother”.
This new diamond waist sublimes the new Bee My Love pieces; bold, the Taille Impératrice gives the Chaumet diamonds an extraordinary fiery sheen. With its 88 faces, the Taille Impératrice gives the CHaumet diamonds a newfound sense of depths. 88, like a double reference to the infinite.
Associated to the perfect geometry of the hive, the Taille Impératrice gives the gold an even more divine aspect. Better, even: necklaces, pendants, bracelets and other jewels of the Bee My Love collection reflect, thanks to their diamond alveola, a warm and solar light on the skin.
Centerpiece of the collection, if there was to be one, the new Bee My Love solitaire is its radiant incarnation. Crimped with Taille Impératrice Chaumet diamonds, this solitaire offers a majestic option as an engagement ring, in accord with the pure know-how of the emblematic jeweller.
