While the house on rue Cambon is getting ready to launch the new format of their iconic fragrance in France, the double-C brand chose London to put on a retrospective of Gabrielle Chanel’s creation. Entitled “Mademoiselle Privé”, the exhibit will take place at the famous Saatchi Gallery – from October 13th to November 1st, 2015, the focus will be on the year 1909. While a number of exhibits have already featured Chanel’s creations, “Mademoiselle Privé” is the first retrospective to focus on the construction of en empire through the eyes of Karl Lagerfeld, the label’s current creative director.
But it’s first and foremost Coco’s charismatic personality that will be honored; at the same time, the prestigious gallery is set to tell the legend of Chanel N°5, hands down the most famous perfume in the world. Now on October 16th, the new 35 ml format will be introduced to provide a flask that’s always within reach filled with either the eau de parfum or the purer perfume. Careful though: this is only a limited edition. This mini version, complete with all the audacity, liberty, and innovation of Gabrielle Chanel herself, is contained in a flask that you can easily slip into your handbag in order to always have this olfactory delight by your side.
