TAG Heuer first brought us the new Carrera Heuer-01 timepiece in 2015 – with 45 mm of diameter, this watch with a sporty and contemporary design was quickly able to find an eager audience. Today, the Carrera Heuer-01 is being presented in three slightly smaller versions: intense black, deep navy blue, and an elegant cognac brown.

With steel and ceramic bezel tones, the tachymeter bezel made of polished ceramic echoes out to the polished satiny steel and the famed modular case, making for a dazzling result to say the least. The skeleton dial, the manufacturer’s iconic signature, teams up with a sapphire background to reveal the beautiful mechanism within. The red column wheel first grabs attention as a strong visual anchoring point. Then, the timepiece’s bridge and the black skeleton PVD circular mass reveal the mechanism itself, equipped with an oscillating pinion clutch.

But what really gives the Chronographe Manufacture Squelette Heuer-01 its unique character are the stopwatch functions, marked by a red color that’s a clear reference to automobile racing at the center second hand, the 30 minute counter, the 12 hour counter, and the Start/Stop button. This sporty look befits the Chronographe Manufacture Heuer-01, whose very name is an homage to founder Edouard Heuer.
