SPECIAL Champagne Brut 2023: Seasonal Champagnes

A selection of the most iconic brut champagnes to accompany the celebration of a new summer season. Icon-Icon has gathered in this special Champagne Brut 2023 the bottles from the houses that have made the reputation of this very French art of living!

An art of living that the Houses of Dom Pérignon, Bollinger, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Krug, Moët & Chandon, Perrier-Jouët, as well as Lanson and Ayala, have managed to bring to the pinnacle of taste and glamour around the world.

So, which brut champagne will you choose this year 2023?

Dom Pérignon Vintage: Legendary Champagne

The pioneering house in this matter. Synonymous with elegance and sophistication, the champagne of the monk Dom Pérignon is the one who launched this new trend at the Court of France of Louis XIV…

For a long time, Dom Pérignon has seen champagne as an act of creation that inspires emotions and elevates people and moments. Each vintage continues the quest for an aesthetic ideal to create and reveal the harmony between nature and craftsmanship. Because ever since the monk Pérignon developed the process of sparkling wine, the house that survived him never compromises!

Dom Pérignon can only be vintage. In the darkness of the cellar, inside the bottles, each vintage will undergo a slow transformation in contact with the yeasts. It will take no less than eight years of elaboration to obtain the balance, a harmonious dialogue of the character of Pérignon Vintage. The champagne presents a perfect balance rather than the expected youthful freshness,” the house describes.

Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut

As a true institution of the French art of living, the Bollinger house is, incidentally, the one that delivers James Bond’s favorite champagnes. The Bollinger Special Cuvée champagne is thus composed of more than 85% of Grands and Premiers Crus of the three main Champagne grape varieties: 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, and 15% Meunier. With a maturation time in the cellar more than twice that of the Appellation rules, it offers a taste of exceptional know-how!

Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial: Classic of Classics.

Since 1869, the emblematic Impérial cuvée of the house has been a tribute to Napoleon, a famous client of the house. A champagne with a unique style – a style that stands out for its bright fruitiness on the palate, a seductive mouthfeel, and an elegant maturity!

Veuve Clicquot Brut: The Yellow Label

The emblematic cuvée of the Veuve Clicquot house, the Brut Yellow Label, is crafted every year from an invaluable blend of reserve wines. The Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label signature champagne is the expression of an eloquent style. An excellent brut champagne, where the yellow label reflects its sunny personality and divine taste!

Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut

Here is another perfect champagne for the 2023 summer season – Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut is a champagne of taste. A nectar that brings to the palate a blend of aromas and flavors; a floral and harmonious champagne that perfectly embodies the heritage of Maison Perrier-Jouët!

Ruinart R Champagne

Those looking for a delicate champagne can confidently turn to the bottles of the Ruinart house. And it is to the delicacy of the nature surrounding its estate in Épernay that Ruinart owes all the flavor and generosity of its champagne. The most iconic of its brut repertoire? The Ruinart R Champagne Brut – a wine made from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier

Brut Premier by Louis Roederer

Brut Premier by Louis Roederer is a flawless champagne for the season – “The freshness, finesse, and cheerfulness of Brut Premier are an invitation to celebrate. Its structured frame, richness, and length are decidedly vinous. It is complete, complex, both modern and powerful while remaining a great classic,” says Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, Cellar Master of Louis Roederer.

Laurent Perrier’s Brut Cuvee Champagne

Here is in the cellar of a family-owned and independent Champagne house founded in 1812, a brut that stays in memory… Fresh, delicate and elegant, Laurent Perrier’s Cuvée Brut Champagne offers a blend solely sourced from the first pressing of the grapes. Its pale gold color carries within its fine bubbles a perfect balance between delicate fragrances of fresh citrus and white flowers…

Champagne Brut Majeur Ayala

Resulting from a special blend, the Brut Majeur Ayala highlights the richness of the terroirs. From the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, Aube, Vitryat and Sézannais regions, this is a pure and elegant champagne that is considered THE aperitif champagne par excellence!

Bruno Paillard Première Cuvée Extra Brut Champagne.

Here is a secret blend of exceptional grapes, grown in 30 highly rated vineyards. Exclusively from the first press, this great champagne, with its straw-gold color, offers aromas of generous fruit combined with pure minerality. This is Bruno Paillard Première Cuvée Extra Brut Champagne.

Champagne Brut Nature From Billecart-Salmon

The Brut Nature from the famous Champagne house Billecart-Salmon is the result of a skilful blend of three grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. With rich aromas of dried fruits and a powerful yet fresh taste, it is a perfectly balanced sparkling wine!

This special continues with Champagne Gosset Brut Grande Réserve and its beautiful blend of freshness and complexity, carried by a clear and brilliant appearance.

“For every occasion, the Cattier Brut Premier Cru is the quintessence of the Champagne region’s terroirs. It is made using our 9 preferred terroirs in the Montagne de Reims (primarily from Chigny-les-Roses, Rilly-la-Montagne, and Ludes),” explains the house.

Finally, the Delamotte Brut Champagne closes out this special 2023 Brut Champagne collection. It is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier — “60% Chardonnay provides the foundation for its structure, while the 35% Pinot Noir from Tours-sur-Marne, Bouzy, and Ambonnay give it depth and fruity aroma,” as described by the house.

So many brut champagnes to enjoy throughout the summer!
