Courchevel, Megève, Chamonix, Tignes, Val Thorens, Les Deux Alpes, Serre Chevalier … at the mere mention of these names, a whole imagination takes hold. If the birth of winter sports resorts is of course linked to the development of a sport or a hobby – skiing – it is also a question of the rise of a social practice and a real art of to live.

While we have used skis since time immemorial to get around the mountains during heavy snowfalls, it was in the Alps that Alpine skiing as we know it today was born; officially in 1931, when the first speed competitions were organized. Due to strong demand from the elites, many resorts developed there in the mid-twentieth century, before other mountain ranges were inspired by this model. This is how the Alps have become the emblematic spot for ski resorts where sport, luxury and the art of living are combined, a real break during the winter season.

If we think of course of mulled wine, raclette and other fondues, all in an idyllic setting around a fireplace, in a charming chalet, skiing remains central. To enjoy these holidays in the heart of the French slopes, Icon-Icon has concocted a selection of iconics in order to wear the most beautiful sets of the season!

To be warm from head to toe, we offer this winter’s iconic models. For those who unfortunately cannot get to high altitudes, the mountain is just 10 minutes from Porte Maillot!

Les Bistrots Pas Parisiens, a group of chic restaurants, all located in the inner suburbs – Rueil-Malmaison, Puteaux and Suresnes – aim to combine the cuisine of a great chef with a simple and authentic moment of sharing. A cozy and elegant decor accompanies a simple and gourmet cuisine concocted by enthusiasts.

After the success of Mourchevel, an ephemeral altitude restaurant installed at Mont Valérien during the winter 2019-2020 inspired by Courchevel, this year it’s Chez Monix, a real Christmas village on the banks of the Seine that is taking place at Splash!

This superb restaurant on the water that we love during the summer season now hosts gondolas, cable cars, snowmobiles, chalets, fireplaces and vintage skis found by the Gaudin family, to recreate the mountain atmosphere of Chamonix – in Asnières-sur- Seine!

There are typical Savoyard dishes, and always brought up to date without forgetting the signature dishes or delicacies from the sea to taste on the Splash barge! Under the pergola, indoors or in the cable cars, the mountain atmosphere of Chez Monix will definitely be an icon of our (not) Parisian winter!

From November 15, 2021 to March 15, 2022, come live the Chez Monix experience at Splash!
