Omega and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games… For nearly a century, Omega, the iconic Swiss watchmaker, has played a central role in the world of the Olympic Games. As the official timekeeper, the company has witnessed many historical moments, precisely measuring the achievements of the world’s most talented athletes. For the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Omega continues to write this history with the introduction of new watch models inspired by this extraordinary event!
Omega and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: The Speedmaster Chronoscope Paris 2024, The Seamaster Diver 300M “Paris 2024” Special Edition, and The Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition.
The association between Omega and the Olympic Games dates back to 1932 when the company was named the official timekeeper of the Los Angeles Games. Since then, Omega has perfected this role, bringing major technological innovations to sports timing. With each edition of the Olympic Games, Omega has risen to the challenge of capturing every decisive moment with unparalleled precision.
This expertise makes Omega the indispensable partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, immortalizing athletes’ performances with remarkable reliability since July 26, 2024!
In 2024, Paris will host the Olympic Games for the third time in its history, and it will be the 31st time that Omega serves as the official timekeeper. To celebrate this historic event, Omega has unveiled a series of special edition watches designed to embody the spirit of the Games and further highlight its commitment to excellence and innovation.
These three new Omega watches for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games naturally pay homage to two of the brand’s legendary models. First, the Speedmaster Chronoscope Paris 2024 is at the heart of this new collection.
Sporting the gold, black, and white colors of the Games, this 43 mm series stands out with its sophisticated design and advanced features. The models are available in stainless steel with an anodized aluminum bezel and in 18K Moonshine™ gold with a ceramic bezel and matching bracelet. The opaline silver dial, adorned with three dark gray timing scales in a 1940s “snail” pattern, includes a tachymeter, a pulsometer, and a telemeter.
The hour, minute, and chronograph second hands, as well as the Arabic numerals, are coated in 18K Moonshine™ gold, adding a touch of luxury to this high-precision watch. On the back, the commemorative case back features a stainless steel medallion with the polished mirror Paris 2024 logo, engraved with the Olympic rings and the inscription Paris 2024.
The Seamaster Diver 300M Paris 2024 pays tribute to Omega’s heritage in Olympic timekeeping. This 42 mm model, available exclusively in Omega boutiques in Paris, is crafted in stainless steel and 18K Moonshine™ gold. The gold bezel features a laser-structured diving scale, with a Super-LumiNova dot at 12 o’clock for optimal readability. The white ceramic dial, adorned with polished wave patterns, and a central seconds hand with a Paris 2024 logo, give this watch a discreet yet striking elegance.
The case back reveals an 18K Moonshine™ gold medallion engraved with the Paris 2024 logo and Olympic rings, complemented by a polished stainless steel structure on a frosted background. The stainless steel bracelet is equipped with Omega’s new patented quick-change system, allowing it to be easily replaced with a rubber strap or a dedicated Paris 2024 NATO strap.
Finally, the Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Special Edition perhaps best captures the spirit of the Olympics. This unique watch celebrates the three legendary materials of Olympic medals: gold, silver, and bronze. The 39 mm case is made of Omega’s exclusive Bronze Gold, the dial in 925 silver, and the fine hands in 18K Sedna™ gold with a Bronze Gold PVD coating.
This design pays homage to sporting successes, a field where Omega has excelled globally since 1932 as the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games, and since 1992 for the Paralympic Games. Inspired by an Omega watch from 1939, this edition features the inscription “BG 859” on the case back, symbolizing its Bronze Gold form. The watch is completed with a brown calf leather strap, ensuring exceptional precision and performance thanks to Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8926 caliber.
And there is more… To celebrate its role as the official timekeeper, Omega inaugurates the Omega House Paris during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Located at the Hôtel de Poulpry, Maison des Polytechniciens, near the Musée d’Orsay, this house will be a sanctuary for selected members, VIP guests, and athletes.
Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of Omega, explained this commitment ahead of the Paris Games: “We love sharing the Olympic Games with our friends from around the world. It is a magical experience, and the Omega House offers us the opportunity to celebrate this moment together. I look forward to opening the doors and creating extraordinary Parisian memories.”
The Omega House highlights 92 years of a history marked by a shared passion, embracing the energy and excitement of the Olympic Games. Since 1932, Omega has brought precision and reliability to some of the greatest sporting competitions in history. And for these Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the company continues to push the boundaries of innovation with specially designed watch models for this event!
