Andrea Incontri and the Tod’s team chose the beautiful Villa Necchi Capiglio in Milan as the location for their Fall/Winter 2018 collection. This collection was a departure from the norm in the fashion world, but was nonetheless the fruit of an unparalleled exploration.
Strong and sophisticated, the 2018 Gommino reinterprets its own trademark to make the audience swoon. This fur moccasin is in line with the times, while a winter Gommino in a boots-like version is topped off with a thicker, younger, and more urban sole. Andrea Incontri puts the shoe back in the context of a harsh season, but keeps it elegant all the while. The hiking shoe also adds to the contemporary essence.
In the accessories department, leather or suede bags with sheepskin details remind us of Tod’s uncompromising commitment to being made in Italy. Tod’s still works with leathers like no other. Once more, the choice of working with rare hides is the mark of Tod’s RTW collection. The beautiful Pash down jacket makes a comeback this season in a magnificent sheepskin version that adds an exquisite touch to this iconic piece.
