A woman touching up her lips with lipstick is a beautiful thing. Slipping away for an instant, then coming back all made up, the mouth particularly standing out… Putting on lipstick morning, afternoon, and night; leaving secrets behind on a shirt collar… That’s what Rouge Coco is all about, a light snap of air as naughty as a stolen kiss. “Since it is that the eyes are the mirror of the soul, why not admit that the mouth is the interpreter of the heart.” Mademoiselle Chanel has always been obsessed by lipstick. In 1954, the dame aux camélias imagined an unctuous grape that she would lodge in a rectangular tube – the tube taking off where the lines of N°5’s spray left off. Gabrielle conceived this lipstick to follow women through every instant of their lives, reserving for it the famous leather sheath integrated inside each 2.55 bag. Today, Lucia Pica, global creative makeup and color designer, is entirely revisiting feminine essentials. And so Rouge Coco is getting a makeover in metal. It’s a way to easily find your lipstick every time you reach into your purse.
The new Rouge Coco line can be understood as the ready-to-wear of lipsticks. Irresistibly hydrating, its Hydraboost complex makes the lips more shapely and beautiful. A single application on the lips is enough to color them. That’s why the color palette is more accessible than ever! While iconic shades like Sari Doré, born with the first Rouge in 1954, or Rouge Noir launched in 1996, are all present and accounted for, Lucia Pica experiments with a number of subtle variations: half-shades of pink, red, and brown. The line is broken down as follows: pinks, browns, beiges, and reds. In total, Mademoiselle’s legendary lipstick is released in 20 shades; 20 shades who’s texture and colors, absolutely elegant, leave anything up for grabs. Now all that’s left to do is the grabbing !
