Comme des Garçons, Louis Vuitton, Adidas… for a long time, collaborators have come, one after another, for Pharrell, collaborations in which artists are given a black slate to imagine elegant designs of highly desirable pieces. The “Moynat x Pharrell” collaboration promises the same. From October 20, the most hyped Parisian store will serve as the backdrop for the capsule collection. It must be said that, without Sarah Andelman, creative director and buying director of Colette, the line wouldn’t have seen the light of day. It was her, in fact, who introduced Pharrell to Ramesh Nair, Moynat’s artistic director. And from this artistic encounter, came the birth of a collection centered on a treasure shared by the two globetrotters: locomotives.

The result? The theme is available on bags, minaudières, clutches, and silk scarves. Made from acrylic resin or decked out in ebony, Pharrell’s creations invoke the imagination of the child in each of us who wishes to depart on travels only dreamed. The pieces are full of humor. Those of Ramesh Nair tell the story of Moynat, a hundred year old house specialized in travel items, born in the era of the first railroad system. With that, in all subtlety, Moynat reminds the collective conscience of the functionality of its creations. How? By reinterpreting its most beautiful archives. With Pharrell, Ramesh Nair makes us travel, through space and time, with the power of our imagination.
