It’s nothing new: Moët & Chandon is one of the most appreciated champagnes in the world. Founded in 1743 by Claude Moët, the champagne brand has both anchored themselves in history and leapt forward into modernity. Moët & Chandon is perpetuating a spirit of innovation and a taste for perfection. Borne by their values of audacity, elegance, and generosity, it’s natural to perceive it as the world leader in their field. And this year, the brand is beginning a new chapter in their story, all while turning a page in the story of champagne as we know it. This novelty is called MCIII – Moët & Chandon’s latest concoction. MCIII is indeed the result of a process initiated close to 270 years ago. Maturity and richness impose themselves on the palate, while a sensation of silky opulence tickles the taste buds. This wine is full and delicate, dense and imposing… Simply elegant. Hearing the name, you might think it comes from some sort of chemical process. In reality, MCIII comes form the denomination ‘MC’, an abbreviation for ‘Moët & Chandon’, while the ‘III’ is a reference to the three different varieties of vineyards from whence this prestigious vintage is issued.
Indeed, MCIII is the fruit of an unheard-of assembly: a rare wine, a metonymy for Moët & Chandon’s pioneering spirit that incorporates a healthy dose of innovation. It’s thanks to MCIII that the oenological heritage of this brand is enriched upon contact with the contemporary universe. Resolutely facing the future, MCIII is issued from three different universes – metal, wood, and glass. This is something that’s never been done before. Three strata to arrive at a perfect integration and complementarity. Each strata brings its own personality, without ever overpowering the others. Born from an assembly of wines aged within metal, MCIII first espouses the characteristics of these tranquil concoctions resting in stainless steel containers… By pushing the limits of complexity and harmony to create this latest release, Moët & Chandon brings champagne to the rang of a veritable nectar, flirting with the impossibility of true perfection.
