Last year, Bell & Ross took inspiration from its legendary aviation watches to imagine the Aero GT concept car, a car with futuristic design and pure lines imagined by the manufacturer’s creative director and co-founder Bruno Belamich. This supercar was inspired by an exclusive F1 partnership with Renault Sport. Just for that occasion, the two entities decided to release two commemorative pieces: the BR 03-92 Aero GT and the BR 03-94 Aero GT, each available in only 500 copies. Today, Bell & Ross is repeating this experience in reverse with an original watch inspired by this same supercar: the BR 03-94 Aero GT Orange.
A brand new version of the watch, the BR 03-94 Aero GT Orange is the archetype of a pilot’s watch. This watch is conceived with a very contemporary design that emanates directly from the cockpit of the Aero GT concept car. This technological gem attests to the creative strengths of Bell & Ross. By using the same avant-garde concept behind the vehicle itself, the timepiece is imagined in a shade of orange. The new BR 03-94 Aero GT Orange boasts a mechanism dedicated to measuring short periods of time. Two chronograph counters are fixed on a grey-tinted glass to display the hour and half-hour. Imagined to be used during nighttime drives, its visibility is preserved with photoluminescent indexes and hands.
It keeps its 42 mm steel case with polished finishings, but now the BR 03-94 Aero GT Orange also boasts a BR-CAL.319 automatic calibre with 42 hours of reserve life. The black calf leather bracelet is complemented by an orange piping and a synthetic ultra-resistant black fabric – an apparent nod to the F1 universe. The tinted sapphire dial opens onto a skeleton movement, giving a spectacular view of the apparatus’ nuts and bolts. This object has strong character and will be released in just 500 copies.
