Ever since 2010, the two brands have been teaming up to create in total close to eight premium collections. By drawing upon their individual savoir-faire, Converse and Missoni are able to create a piece that is like a model of authenticity. This collaboration is now at its height ever since, in 2014, the reinterpretation of the mythic Chuck Taylor All Star has been integrating the zigzag motif that is so characteristic of the Italian brand. These concoctions are rife with colorful zigzags, stripes, undulations, and other flashpoints, right down to the argyle patchworks with floral and geometric motifs, competing to literally mystify the most worn sneaker in the world.
For the FW14 season, Converse and Missoni are pushing their expertise to the limit. “All the heritage of American sports” from Converse is combined with Missoni’s aesthetic and technical innovation in the working of knits to give life to a shoe with unstoppable style. A large line of Chuck Taylors has thus been born: for men and women, the sneakers are sometimes dressed up as a black and white rocker version, a pop version in turquoise and black, or a downright bohemian one when it’s adorned with an array of different colors. This new collection can be discovered in early September in a selection of exclusive points of sale such as Colette, Starcow, or Heritage in Lyon to name a few. Watch out though, this is a very limited edition!
