Actress, singer, songwriter, muse, and now designer, Marion Cotillard is a true jack of all trades. After more than 4 years of collaboration, it’s only natural that Dior is finally asking this performer of “La Vie en rose” fame to bring her personal touches to the mythical Lady Dior, a product for which she’s previously been featured as a muse.
In the 5th and final episode of her web documentary, you can see the famous Frenchy trying her hand at sketching, passing from one side of the paper to the next. For a few instants, she forsakes the cameras entirely in favor of the Dior house’s ateliers. Her heart is set on a houndstooth print, somewhere between rock’n’roll and something more simple.
Square or rectangular, padded leather, short or chain handles, Prince of Wales or “cannage” motifs, there will never be enough words to describe it. The Lady Dior is more than just an iconic bag: it’s a historic bag. So what will version 2.0 look like? You’ll have to ask Marion Cotillard!
