For five generations for Maison Camus has been in the hands of the founding family, the philosophy has remained the same – to develop the most perfect cognac, in harmony with the nature surrounding the Camus family estate. From this vision, the Camus XO Borderies is the most beautiful expression of this.
This time, Maison Camus is bottling three unique taste experiences to better underline the sublime and the balance of its cognacs. Three distinct accents of cognac, spicy, floral or fruity, but always marked by the taste signature of Camus. Either the Camus Cognac de Caractere – Accent Epice (Spicy), the Camus Cognac de Caractere – Accent Floral (Floral) or the Camus Cognac de Caractere – Accent Fruité (Fruity).
“From the vine to the glass, through our stills and our aging cellars, our Camus know-how craftsmen have fashioned this collection of Cognacs for you to discover as you wish: flowers, fruits or spices reveal their power here and offer you an aromatic journey closer to your senses” notes the House.

What then do we taste with the Camus Cognac de Caractère collection?
The Camus Cognac de Caractere Accent Epice (Spicy) unveils on the palate cleverly mixed aromas of vanilla, cinnamon and coffee. Aged in the center of the Camus cellars, to better offer an oxidation that develops the intensity of the spiciest flavors … The eaux-de-vie that compose it contribute to a sublime olfactory balance. Between the hot spices carried by the ardor of a black pepper, and the fresh spices structured by the subtlety of a Cochin cardamom… The Camus Cognac de Caractere Accent Spice awakens the taste buds around an elegance and an impertinence finally rare!
The second taste opus from the Camus Cognac de Caractère line: the Floral Accent ! True nectar articulated around notes of rose, jasmine and honeysuckle, Camus Cognac de Caractère Accent Floral reveals the harmony shown by Camus in the house of the Folle Blanche and Ugni Blanc grape varieties…
“Selected from distillation for their richness in aromatic esters, the eaux-de-vie that make up this Cognac are guided by our Cellar Master on a journey between dry cellar and wet cellar, new or older woods in order to further develop their floral potential” specifies Cyril Camus.
And it is true that Camus Cognac de Caractère Accent Floral leaves the palate in awe of these lively and exuberant accents of flowers! However fine and balanced, this great cognac gives above all to taste the aromatic complexity of these spirits of character.
Finally, the third and last part of the new Camus line: Camus Cognac de Caractère Accent Fruity lets the senses enter the heart of the fruity world of the Ugni Blanc grape variety. We indeed delight in its aromas of grapefruit but above all of white fruits which, in this great cognac, exude all their power!
“The singular character of this cognac comes from the selection of eaux-de-vie rich in fruity esters, and aging with a hygrometry studied to amplify the development of these fruity aromas. The aromas of pears, vine peaches and grapes unite in a Cognac with a fresh and round attack, followed by a suave finish” admirably details Maison Camus.
