Produced in a limited edition of only three pieces, this pocket watch draws inspiration from the Mysterious Rider scarf motif, designed by illustrator and designer Viktor Hachmang. A finalist in the Grand Prix du Carré Hermès, this Dutch artist is renowned for his style that fuses futuristic and colorful graphics with Japanese art and pop culture from comic books. His vivid colors and geometric patterns depict a mysterious rider on a gleaming motorcycle, with a backdrop reminiscent of the famous and historic Hermès boutique at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.

The Slim d’Hermès Pocket Mysterious Rider watch also combines the brilliance of its white gold case with the subtle shimmer of its enamel dial and cover, creating a refined harmony of precision, simplicity, and visual sophistication. Designed by Philippe Delhotal in 2015, these timeless lines highlight the exceptional craftsmanship of the House of Hermès. Its sleek shapes incorporate bold, whimsical, and minimalist motifs, perfectly illustrating the unique and creative universe of Hermès time.

Playful and whimsical, the Slim d’Hermès Pocket Mysterious Rider watch features a cover depicting the biker and his roaring motorcycle, created in champlevé enamel. This intricate artisanal technique involves engraving cavities into the metal, filling them with colored glass powders mixed with natural oils, and then firing the piece multiple times at over 800°C to fix the pigments.

This meticulous work frames a refined white enamel dial. To create it, the enameling artisan applies several layers of enamel, which are successively dried and fired before being adorned with hand-painted red numerals and hour markers…

At its heart, the Slim d’Hermès Pocket Mysterious Rider is powered by the ultra-thin automatic mechanical movement Manufacture Hermès H1950. Finally, and perhaps the pinnacle of Hermès’ chic craftsmanship, a cord and pouch in matte Rouge H alligator, crafted with Hermès’ expertise in saddlery and leather goods, accentuate the deep red hues of this timeless creation!
