These festivals that take place around the world, from Paris to Mumbai, are the symbol of life’s shining vitality, illuminating the dawning of the new year in the meanwhile. United around a mutual respect for the essence of things, these two brands’ affinities are just as aesthetic as they are ethic. Because Diptyque has long been attracted to the uniqueness of Tsé & Tsé, they’re now integrating all the poetry of their creations into a brand new collection of candles.
To bring magic to the holidays, Catherine Lévy and Sigolène Prébois – the founders of Tsé & Tsé – call out to the senses as well as the mind. Through candle holders with an emblematic design, an entirely new color scheme is made possible. A playful alphabet, mysterious symbols… Have they finally managed to concoct a phantasmagoric version of the Diptyque candle?
When the wick is lit, illuminations escape like wisps through invisible orifices in the tag. Alive, intangible, and changing, Diptyque x Tsé & Tsé’s candles acquire all the magic of a poem. Green, orange, or episcopal purple, the candle holders are enrapturing and enveloping with their new scent. Three new scented candles in all will be available starting in November. Orange Chaya: a suave but unsweetened winter treat all wrapped up in spices. Ecorce de Pin: a wooded scent mixed with hinoki, frank, smoky, and slightly hazy. Finally, l’Encens des Indes: dressed in a tender violet, blurring the lines between incense and myrrh, it’s a mysterious and profound scent. There’s no doubt about it; Christmas is here.
