The avant-garde show choreographed by Nijinsky causes a scandal. Igor Stravinsky’s work is misunderstood by a conservative and traditionalist public. Coco Chanel is totally captivated by Igor Stravinsky’s music, which leaves her partner and great love of the time, Boy Capel, unmoved.
It was not until seven years later that Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky crossed paths again. The illustrious couturier was just recovering from the death of Boy Capel when she decided to welcome Igor Stravinsky, exiled in Paris, and his family to her Bel Respiro residence in Garches. A short but intense affair between the two began. Chanel finances the revival of The Rite of Spring, for which she owns the score. Stravinsky’s work is then interpreted by the Ballets Russes. It is considered today as the manifesto of modern music that announces the violence of the wars to come.
During their affair, Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky each asserted themselves in their own creative fields. It was when she welcomed Igor Stravinsky that Coco Chanel imagined the recipe for her famous perfume, Chanel N°5. For his part, Igor Stravinsky was finally recognized by the critics and enjoyed success.

From the dolce vita of the 1950s to the globalization of the 2000s, a history of Italy told through its fashion. With the voice of Marisa Berenson.
Always synonymous with elegance and quality, made in Italy has propelled Italian fashion into pop culture and revolutionized global fashion, inventing bling, supermodels and luxury as an art of living. Yet Italian fashion is a recent creation, born in the early 1950s from the will of a few industrialists encouraged by buyers in American stores, too dependent on Parisian fashion houses. Just out of the Second World War, the weakened country will use fashion to establish a mythical mixture of elegance, sophistication and good-natured vulgarity that will delight buyers around the world.
“Dura vita”
Exploring the intersecting stories of various designers including the Fontana sisters, Valentino, Nino Cerruti, Miuccia Prada (etc.), director Jean Lauritano paints a colorful portrait of post-war Italy. Rich in drama and scandal, the epic mixes Renaissance influences and pop culture against a backdrop of lightning rises and exacerbated competition, such as the mythical rivalry between Giorgio Armani and Gianni Versace. Between archival footage and exclusive interviews with fashion greats, a moving evocation of a world in perpetual reinvention.

1967 – 1976. The meeting of one of the greatest fashion designers of all time with a free decade. Neither of them will emerge intact.
The life of Yves Saint Laurent, mostly between 1967 and 1976, his professional and emotional torments as well as his relationship with the dandy Jacques de Bascher and the one who will become his companion, Pierre Bergé. The film focuses on his working methods, as well as his encounter with his two muses, Loulou de la Falaise and Betty Catroux.
Bonello summed up the film’s premise, “We weren’t interested in showing how Yves Saint Laurent became a genius. We wanted to show what it cost him every day to be who he was, and that’s why, at the beginning of the film, he is already a star.
