Ellena infuses an entire philosophy into his creations, he defines himself as a “composer of perfumes”, a “writer of odors”.
This perfume is decidedly very feminine, very sensual, eminently floral. It seems like you’re discovering a wake of delicate white flowers, maybe gardenia, sweet peas, a touch of musk? But the composition counts little for this lover of odors who confides that he wanted “to give armfuls of flowers to smell, so that each one puts in the flowers they want, smells in it what they want to smell”. It purportedly took him about three years to concoct this mysterious cocktail that he considers an elixir, who’s formula he jealously guards.
Housed in a majestic case made by Pierre Hardy, creative director for Hermès’ jewelry, the precious contents are adorned with amber, solar, luminous reflections. The round flask plays with transparency and a sort of weightlessness effect. Jour by Hermès is worn like a caress, an evanescent, soft, and subtle cloud that airily perfects the woman who wears it.
