The Jiwan Residency at Restaurant Le Dalí: A Culinary Journey from Doha to Paris
This is the gastronomic collaboration of the summer of 2024. Alain Ducasse, consulting chef for the restaurants of Qatar Museums and Le Meurice, will bring his creative genius to this culinary fusion. He will be supported by Jeremy Cheminade, executive chef of Qatar Museums, and Amaury Bouhours, executive chef of Le Meurice, ensuring an exceptional culinary experience. The pastry expertise will be embodied by the renowned pastry chef Cedric Grolet, who will present an exclusive creation for this residency. His reputation for sculptural and innovative desserts promises to add an unforgettable sweet touch.
The Jiwan pop-up at Restaurant Le Dalí will be an explosion of colors and flavors. The dishes will feature authentic Middle Eastern spices such as zaatar, sumac, and saffron, infusing each bite with unparalleled warmth and richness.
Guests will have the pleasure of discovering bold combinations and artistic presentations—each dish designed to delight both the eyes and the palate. This culinary residency is envisioned as a true celebration of diversity and creativity, embodied by passionate and visionary chefs. Guests will be invited on a unique sensory journey where the vibrant flavors of the Middle East harmonize with the sophistication of French cuisine.
The tasting menu, carefully crafted for this occasion, will include signature dishes such as Pollock gravlax with cucumber and loomi, a refreshing starter where the fish is delicately marinated and accompanied by crunchy cucumber and loomi, a traditional dried lemon from the Middle East. Seafood lovers will be delighted by the Shrimps with dill and pistachio, where the sweetness of the shrimps blends with the freshness of dill and the crunchiness of pistachios.
Inspired by the illustrious artist Salvador Dalí and designed by the talented Philippe Starck, Restaurant Le Dalí offers an enchanting and unique setting for this gastronomic moment.
