The ten fingers of a hand would probably not be enough to point out everything Stephan Eicher is interested in, in music, in cinema, from acoustic concerts to a show with automatons or a brass band, from rock to techno-pop, from film music to literary concerts. Will he ever be able to have lunch in peace?  Born in Münchenbuchsee, Switzerland, on August 17, Stephan Eicher first performed in Germany with the group Grauzone and had his first success in France with Combien de temps, the title track of his fourth studio album Silence – which was in fact quite a smash hit. Then he met the novelist Philippe Djian, who wrote the French lyrics for Stephan Eicher’s 1989 album My Place. One of them was the hit Déjeuner en paix. From then on, the success of the album was unwavering, especially on stage, where Stephan Eicher gave real shows that were reinvented a thousand times. In all, there were sixteen albums in his forty-year career, the last of which, Homeless Songs, was a public and commercial success. This time, on stage, there will be a quintet of musicians, newness and discovery, always. At the end of 2021, a new album is planned. The opportunity for Stephan to go back on the road and offer a new show.
