Designed in 1965 by Elio Martinelli and Gae Aulenti, the Pipistrello lamp is undoubtedly the most romantic of lamps. First of all because of its extravagant shape, it tells the story of the intrusion of Nature in Gae Aulenti’s wild imagination. The architect and designer drew her inspiration from the wings of a bat.

Description : A cult design object, the Pipistrello lamp was created by Gae Aulenti in 1965. This lamp with its wavy shaped shade resembles a bat, which means pipistrello in Italian. It is a table or floor lamp with diffused light. A stainless steel telescopic system allows its height to be adjusted (66-86 cm).
