We find the first traces of the Octo watch in the Bulgari archives dating from 1975 – the heirs were then thinking about a powerful but elegant men’s watch. And it was much later, in 2004, that Bulgari made its decision… “The objective was to bring elements drawn from Rome, its history and its architecture into this product, but in a resolutely contemporary watchmaking approach. The Octo thus found its inspiration in the arches of Maxentius, located in the heart of the Roman Forum, a building considered an engineering marvel of the time” Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Director of the House’s Watch Design Center.
