Aston Martin has been one of the most famous British car brands for over ninety years. Created in 1913 by LionetMartin and Robert Bamford. It is a subsidiary of Prodrive since 2007 (Prodrive, a British company of preparationand motorsport created in 1984). The name Aston Martin comes from the name of its creator and the Aston Clinton hillclimb, which Lionel Martin won in 1914.
Favorite vehicle of the famous James Bond, Aston Martin creates luxury cars, sports and racing. The brand’s reputation is based on a constant demand for quality, combining extreme elegance, rare luxury and exceptional performance with a pronounced taste for perfection. From a mere notoriety in the 1950s, the brand achieved legendary status by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959. Known throughout the world despite the small number of cars produced, always present on the mostfamous endurance circuits, Aston Martin has built up a loyal following of enthusiasts all over the world. The twoauthors of this book, Jacques-Louis Bertin and Arnald Millereau, are obviously fans of the Gaydon-based brand. They live, they breathe, they think Aston Martin! Of course, there is a small circle of great connoisseurs of the brand in France, but the authors of this book, who are both former Fanauto editors (of the late Serge Pozzoli), are among the few people who can write about Aston Martin and its history.
A story that will make your heart beat to the rhythm of Aston Martin engines. If you consider yourself a true connoisseur of Aston Martin, then prepare to be amazed by this book, which is as instructive as it is aesthetically perfect!
