Ever since 1843, Krug has born witness to the legacy of a visionary founder: a nonconformist man with no holds barred who, desiring to offer his clients the most generous expression of Krug champagne, was able to read and define the very essence of champagne itself. Each year, independent of the weather, the brand strives to go beyond the very notion of a vintage year. Just like Krug, this metalworking brand was also founded by a visionary: Charles Christofle, the founder of Christofle. Within another type of luxury, this man perfected his materials, bringing an exceptional savoir-faire to the most current trends – to the point of becoming one of the most important metalworkers under the reign of Napoleon III. Krug and Christofle speak the same language of refinement, with a similar engagement for creation.

And today, these two prestigious brands are releasing a composition together: a limited edition of Krug Grande Cuvée in a new box that is a veritable collector’s item in and of itself. A silvery metallic case, made of Christofle’s favorite material, encloses the majestic nectar’s black cherry-colored box. The case, with its elegant and contemporary lines, is perforated on its sides. There, on the flank, writings intertwine and, imperceptibly, form fingerprints. This is the very evocation of the identity and history that are unique to each bottle. Once removed from the Krug Grande Cuvée Box, the sheath reveals its most truly exceptional quality: used as a candle holder, the icon  allows light to filter through these fingerprints that have been carefully left behind in the metal.
