Description :

Ca’ d’Oro is one of the most majestic palaces in Venice. Its façade is probably the most surprising and elaborate of all the palaces along the Grand Canal. Today, the Palazzo Ca’ d’Oro houses the Giorgio Franchetti Gallery, a collection that began with the acquisitions of Baron Franchetti at the end of the nineteenth century and has grown since its transfer to the Italian state in 1916.
