Philip Plisson was born in 1947. In 1987, this sea lover left the banks of the Loire and Sologne to come and settle permanently in La Trinité-sur-Mer. A widely acclaimed talented photographer, he was admitted in 1991 to the historic and restricted corps of Marine Painters. His work now includes more than 1,500,000 images and the edition of 70 books on the sea, including Sailors’ Wisdom, The Sea Day to Day, Instants of Brittany and Against Winds and Tides.
