This story begins in 2008. A close friend of Marc Jacobs, creative director for the brand, Sofia Coppola posed alongside her father for their luggage line’s ad campaign. One year later, she would head to Asnières, historic headquarters of Louis Vuitton’s workshops, to place a very special order. Taking inspiration from the iconic Speedy and Keepall for her bag, Sofia Coppola had unknowingly brought a whole new piece into the hall of fame of LV icons. Simply dubbed SC Bag, this cashmere veal leather bag was born. Later, a smaller version would further its conquest of fashionistas everywhere; the BB, equipped with an extra-long shoulder strap, and the SC Bag were both released this season in a new rainbow color palette.
For the miniature version, the colors range from violet to robin’s egg blue and clementine in between; the SC bag is also seeing itself decked out in violet as well as a “brilliant cherry”. The edges, with the same fuchsia color as the internal lining, highlight and awaken the leather’s graphite. Louis Vuitton propose us a large panel of colour bear some ressemblance to Sofia Coppola : Trendy and genuinely sophisticated. The last iconic bag of the brand presents his new shades. Sober off white to extravagant « capucine », the SC bag shows us all his news colours.
