This guided tour takes you behind the scenes of Printemps, from the underground of the Grand Magasin to the roof garden and its breathtaking view of the capital, passing by the famous Art Deco dome.
This guided tour will reveal the secrets of the architecture, history and operation of the Grand Magasin. Conceived as a vertical journey, you will discover one of the most beautiful views of Paris on its zinc roofs, before descending into the underground galleries. The essential machinery and workshops where mirror and carpenters work will be revealed behind each open door in this maze of corridors.
From private accesses to confidential passages, you will be able to admire the masterpieces of Printemps such as the floating staircases, the original grills of the store, and the hidden face of the majestic glass dome of 20 meters in diameter which overhangs the building at 50 meters high.
From the sky to the basement, from the Second Empire to the 21st century, from neo-classicism to the contemporary era, and including Art Nouveau and Art Deco, which are omnipresent in its architecture, this visit is a journey to the heart of the Grand Magasin’s heritage and its transformations over the past 150 years.

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of his death, La Villette, La RMN – Grand Palais and RERE / Adonis are offering a spectacular exhibition that provides a fair and uncompromising portrait of a fascinating figure who shaped the France of today. After all, to know Napoleon is to understand the world in which we live. From his rise to the decline of the imperial adventure, the exhibition retraces this crucial period in nine sections, from key moments in French history to the intimate and romantic life of the emperor. The exceptional collaboration of the Louvre, the châteaux of Versailles, Fontainebleau and Malmaison, the Musée de l’Armée, the Mobilier National and the Fondation Napoléon has brought together more than 150 original pieces, assembled here for the first time. Masterpieces created during the Empire, exceptional objects that belonged to Napoleon and contemporary creations follow one another along a chronological and educational path. Vast reconstructions and numerous digital devices offer visitors a real immersion in the heart of these decisive moments in French history. A health pass is not required for this exhibition.

Edmond Rostand is not yet thirty but already has two children and a lot of anxiety. He has not written anything for two years. So, in despair, he proposes to the great Constant Coquelin a new play, a heroic comedy, in verse, for the holidays. The only problem was that it had not yet been written. Ignoring the whims of the actresses, the demands of his Corsican producers, the jealousy of his wife, the love affair of his best friend and the lack of enthusiasm of everyone around him, Edmond starts writing this play that nobody believes in. For the moment, he only has the title: Cyrano de Bergerac.
