Born in 1961 in Pasadena (USA) Nina Childress lives and works in Paris. Her career began in 1981, with music, with the creation of the punk band Lucrate Milk within which she is author and performer. The adventure will last three years and will lead them to participate in the sound section of the 12th Paris Biennale. Nina Childress then devoted herself exclusively to painting and joined the collective «Les Frères Ripoulin», which included Claude Closky and Pierre Huygue. Since then, she has continued to paint and change her style, between pop art and hyperrealism, a shift from clichés and colour-related research.
