There’s no other brand more anchored in French chic than Hermès. An allegory of France’s elegance and savoir-faire, the label is now taking on the streetwear trend to bring us distinction capable of speaking to anyone. Hermès’ streetwear is done with fabrics. Véronique Nichanian, creative director for men’s collections since 1988, is combining the brand’s DNA with the trends of the season, or even the decade. Bordeaux red, mustard yellow, royal blue, moss green… Hermès’ favorite colors meet pants with wide cuts, hooded shirts, or jackets that barely trace the shapes of the body.

In the jackets department, this crocodile leather piece with sporty lines and zipped pockets becomes even more desirable when viewed alongside its stylistic potential. Cut close but not TOO close to the body, made in a brilliant and delicious Hermès red, this Hermès jacket breathes comfort and fluidity. The key piece in the runway, it announces the brand’s Spring/Summer 2018 direction all while remaining loyal to their characteristic restraint. Even better, it deftly and subtly espouses the label’s philosophy – an intergenerational relationship to clothing. Véronique Nichanian definitely isn’t seeking a clean break from the traditional Hermès wardrobe.

Chic and harmony, beauty and refinement. The Spring/Summer 2018 season is imagined as a timeless one at Hermès. These timeless pieces are touched up by the trends of the day, borrowing a light twist that will be sure to delight the Hermès man’s aesthetic senses. This man dwells in a set universe. He’s open-minded, and lets himself get tempted by inspired details that are deftly paired with simple forms and clean silhouettes. This collection anchors itself once more in contrast to today’s fashion.
