The fact that the Rolling Stones have opened their archives from New York to London like never before adds an intimate dimension that’s equally exceptional to the band’s history. This book is sort of like Mick, Keith, Ronnie, and Charlie’s personal photo album. Fans and rock lovers alike won’t want to miss this date. On December 11th, photographer Gered Mankowitz, responsible for the cover of this incredible book (and also for the historic portrait of Jimmy Hendrix) will be making an appearance at boutique Taschen for a book signing to celebrate the publication of “The Rolling Stones”.

The classic version will be going for 99,99€, while a limited edition collector’s edition of only 1,150 copies signed by the four band members will set you back 4000€. Finally, there’s a “sumo” version accompanied by an art series signed by one of the photographers that participated in the making of the book, David Bailey, Guy Webster, Ethan Russel, Bent Rej, Anton Corbijn, and Gered Mankowitz (8000 to 12000€).

This book isn’t just rock’n’roll, it shoots through 50 years of memories like a roller coaster.” Keith Richards

The book brings together incredible shots taken over the last 50 years.” Mick Jagger
