After a line with the floral print giant Liberty and an artistic collaboration with street artist Kongo, Hermès is now favoring natural techniques for its iconic “carré” yet again. Worn on a belt, in the hair, or as a bag accessory, it has long cradled the luxurious imaginations of numerous generations of females, creating an elegant fantasy above and beyond an iconic object. This classic product is now being released once more by honoring the traditional savoir-faire of the color indigo, made in Bangladesh and southern India and completed by the scrupulousness of Lyonnais printing artisans.

And so Hermès is offering a collection of four foulards with a timeless spirit, a discovery that unites tradition and exoticism. Each given a warm and spicy name, the new Hermès “carré” brings a spirit of adventure to this brand new capsule collection. They’re preserving all the monochrome elegance that the natural pigment of indigo offers, released as per usual in two sizes (“grande” and “moyenne”), while the silk twill weaving is punctuated with embroideries. Available on February 13th, Hermès is putting its savoir-faire to good use to convey the exoticism and spiced fragrances of a sophisticated voyage.
