The Old Bacolet rum is infused with the oomph and boldness that Mark Reynier has brought to the rum realm. The pre-cask Old Bacolet underlines the special and complex flavors of the Renegade terroir. A new expression of the Renegade Cane Rum, the Old Bacolet is extracted from its eponymous Grenada terroir, one of the first island’s first parcels to have ever been harvested, by the French, as soon as the 1800s.

Description : The Renegade rum distillery: a modern marvel. Designed with precision to exalt the individuality of the terroirs, the purity of the prolonged fermentation, and a thoughtful and rigorous distillation. Old Bacolet Terroir: On the south coast, protected from the force of the Atlantic trade winds, Old Bacolet was one of the first regions to be cultivated by the French. A floodplain between two small rivers, these alluvial soils -Plains Clay Loam and Woburn Clay- and a high water table produce a lush cane. For this rum, we harvested the fast growing variety we call Cain from Josh’s Field, which is found on the land called Riverside.
