Daniel Craig on a visit to Omega’s manufacturer in Villeret, Switzerland… It’s James Bond in person coming to discover the production process for the new Omega Seamaster 300 Spectre at the heart of the bastion of Swiss watchmaking. An avid collector, just like the role he plays, Daniel Craig was fascinated by the engineering prowess and expertise that goes into the creation process. “I think what impressed me most is that the watches are created from square one. You start with nothing, and then suddenly, you get a working watch. That’s what’s so great. Seeing all the engineering that goes into it and in what ways it draws on tradition; that’s what really fascinated me.”
Ever since Goldeneye in 1995, the Seamaster has become the James Bond watch. With its naval history and classic style, this watch perfectly incarnates the allure and adventurous spirit of Bond himself. This year, the spy’s legions can get their hands on the same style worn by 007 in Spectre, since the Seamster 300 will be on sale to the public; a first for the 007-Omega partnership. Until now, the franchise’s manufacturer only did commemorative releases; now they’re bringing it up to the next level by producing this special timepiece. Catch it while you can: it will be limited to 7,007 copies, available in September!
