The Porsche 918 Spyder is a plug-in hybrid supercar from German sports car manufacturer, Porsche produced from 2013 to 2015. Replacing the Carrera GT, the 918 is powered by a traditional V8 combustion engine supported by two electric motors.
It was officially presented for the first time at the 80th edition of the Geneva Motor Show, held in , and unveiled in its final version at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 800,000 at launch, less than its competitors.
An RSR racing version was unveiled in 2011. It takes the hybrid technology used in the 911 GT3 R Hybrid and combines it with the design of the 918 Spyder.
