Description : Real McCoy 3 years old and a traditional rum that comes from the Foursquare distillery (Barbados).
It was aged in American oak barrels that had previously contained bourbon and then filtered with charcoal. This last step before bottling removes the amber color and turns it into a transparent rum like unaged white rum but retaining the complex aromas acquired during the 3 years spent in barrels. So it can be combined with the ingredients of a cocktail without altering the color.
