Description :
An early vintage, 2020 is marked by a rapid growth of the vine throughout the vegetative cycle, following a spring marked by heavy rain and mild temperatures. This important rainfall led to a mildew pressure of a rare intensity and complicated the work in the vineyard. The flowering took place in a homogeneous way. If the hot and dry conditions of the summer accelerated the ripening process of the grapes, they caused a slight loss of yield on some sandy plots due to water stress as well as a slowing down or even a blocking of the ripening process on the most clayey terroirs. The harvest began a fortnight earlier than in a “normal” year.
