“Omega is synonymous with a professional diving watch.” The official stopwatch of the Olympics for the 27th time, Omega is this year presenting its new “Seamaster Planet Ocean” collection. Marine biologist William Beeb first popularized Omega’s diving watches in the early 20th century and would soon be followed by freediver Jacques Mayol and Jacques Cousteau, the inventor of the diving suit.
With a desire to pay hommage to the brand’s aquatic heritage, Omega created this fabulous collection made of light and depth. Its dial is delicately coated with white Super-Luminova, giving off a powerful blueish light and an elegant modernity all in one. The secret of mixing refinement and functionality is one that only this brand knows. Equipped with a helium valve to evacuate the gas during diving sessions, Omega watches mix shining black and midnight blue for a total journey under the sea.
From June 25th to August 20th 2016, Omega will be presenting its “Omega Loves Printemps” event and is inviting us to a pop-up store located in the atrium of the Printemps in Paris to enjoy some of the brand’s exclusive pieces! Here you can discover a sneak preview of some pieces from the “Seamaster Planet Ocean” collection and get a look at some watches dedicated to the 2016 Olympics.
