Nicolas Ruinart Pavilion in Reims: Luxury Wine Tourism

The Nicolas Ruinart Pavilion in Reims welcomes the public with a unique sensory experience in the world of champagne, where heritage, sustainability, and art converge. The pavilion, designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto—known for blending nature and contemporary lines—spans 1,400 square meters and offers a vision that is both environmentally respectful and innovative.

“This luminous and transparent building is designed to welcome visitors like a treasure box. It reflects the image of Ruinart House,” explains Sou Fujimoto.

The building, located in front of the historic structures of Ruinart’s main courtyard, was conceived as a space to celebrate culture and the art of living. Inside, visitors can browse an elegant boutique, enjoy champagne in a refined bar, or explore a secret cellar where rare vintage cuvĂ©es are preserved. Outside, the gardens host around twenty contemporary art pieces, specifically created for Ruinart. The entire experience is freely accessible, offering visitors a complete and unique cultural experience.

For Ruinart House, which will celebrate its 300th anniversary in 2029, this pavilion marks a new milestone in the development of its tourism offerings. FrĂ©dĂ©ric Dufour, CEO of Ruinart, expressed his desire to offer a more open and high-quality experience, in response to the growing demand that previously prevented them from accommodating all enthusiasts. Ruinart is betting on an exceptional experience—an immersive one where every detail, from the gardens to the champagne, aims to enhance the art of hospitality around champagne.
