Chris Lee was no trivial choice for Gucci – with her unique style and simple yet poignant refinement, the famous Chinese singer and actress was a natural fit for Alessandro Michele’s own personal expression. Gucci’s creative director has chosen to harmonize his philosophy with his brand ambassadors by this time adopting soft and clear aesthetics.
And it looks like these two artists got on swimmingly. “I’ve been fascinated by Alessandro Michele’s collections ever since he became Gucci’s creative director since they’re full of joy and originality,” declared Chris Lee. “I’m absolutely thrilled to take part in this new chapter in the brand’s story.” The new face for Gucci Timepieces and Jewelry will have her photos taken by photographer Colin Dodgson and diffused around Asia starting in mid-July. In her new role, Chris Lee poses with pieces from the brand’s timepiece and jewelry collections. One of the three photographs shows her with the GG2570 watch – a name that sounds like an homage to the number 25, Alessandro Michele’s lucky number, as well as to the 70s, a golden decade for Gucci.
Chris Lee also sports pieces from the jewelry collection – a collection called Icon. Rings, bracelets, and a pendant mounted on an 18 carat rose gold and white enamel chain… the selection shown in the shots is brilliant and deliciously simple. This emblematic collection takes shape around a freshness and eclecticism made of Flora motifs – tiny flowers and leaves – that brighten up the engraved double-G logo, a symbol of the Icon collection. Definitely worth a look.
