On point technology, exigent design, visual and acoustic art: these are the keywords for Bang and Olufsen, a Danish company with a unique savoir-faire in their creations, combining technical excellence and an awakening of emotions. Today, this upscale audiovisual maker has two new inventions to show of: the BeoPlay H3 and H6. Pure ecstasy and musical sensations are sure to be had by all.

Created in 1925 by two young Danish engineers, Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, the company made a name for itself abroad in the 60s. Positioning itself as one of the first industries to develop high fidelity stereos, it soon became a synonym for acoustic and graphic perfection. The duo’s main idea was original: create a high quality product that remained easy to use. The buttons and indicators are logically distributed, convivial and even intuitive, creating an inherent link between man and apparatus.

The design concept is marked by purity and minimalism, making for a resolutely contemporary allure. According to Bang and Olufsen, this affirmed aesthetic is not an end in and of itself, but rather a means of expression for their values, from perfection to technical innovations. This union of form and function is ideal, creating a harmonious unity and coherence for the machine. Michael Jensen, reputed economist, explains: “Design is a language. If you have nothing to say, design won’t help you.” This pointed and exigent discourse is showcased by a number of prestigious collaborations. Among the more notable: famous designer Daniel Lewis, who gave the brand a bit of pedigree through his intuitive and inventive style, allowing it to become an assured enterprise in high end and luxury markets.

As for the sound, it is multichannel; like an enrapturing acoustic fog, it invades and surrounds any and every room. The audio equipment restitutes the original sound as authentically as possible, allowing for “exploration of the artist’s true intentions”. Always releasing increasingly innovative products, Bang & Olufsen have managed to adapt to contemporary demands as well. This year, the brand has unveiled two new technical gems designed by Jacob Wagner: the BeoPlay H3, a never-before-seen pair of in-ear headphones, and the BeoPkay H6, an elegant over-ear pair of headphones. The H3 headphones possess a 10.8mm driver, a Micro Bass port, and a range between 20Hz and 16kHz. They’re available in black, silver, or red: ethereally stylish. As for the H6 headphones, they’re equipped with 40mm drivers with a range between 20Hz and 20kHz. It even has support for daisy chaining, allowing users to listen to music from the same source with different headphones. Made of anodized aluminum, they are light and resistant. The leather band, available in natural or black finishings, refines and distinguishes them. Bang & Olufsen are definitively singing a hymn to acoustic purity and the awakening of the senses, making for a modern listening experience that’s always on the move.
