Pierpaolo Piccioli has chosen to create this collection exclusively using the colors pink and black to remove distractions and concentrate the viewer’s eyes on the lines, silhouettes and sumptuous details of this collection. This collection of 81 looks has just as many references to the codes and favorite pieces introduced in the brand’s repertoire by its founder Valentino Garavani.

Why pink though? Instead of Valentino’s signature color, red? Piccioli claimed that he had selected pink vibrant to “subvert” its multiple cultural meanings, and in particular its association to girlishness.
This pink is in fact a new Pantone color imagined by Pierpaolo Piccioli himself. On the women, and the men for next season, pink thus takes on a larger dimension, a more diva one – alluding to the female artists who inspired Valentino to make couture!
